SYSTEMS

Precision cooling

The right cooling will win you half the battle

At infrastruXureD, we will assess the different types of cooling techniques, express them through an engineered model via Airflow Simulation Software and implement them using the most adequate devices and materials.

Technology

  • Air cooled or DX system: using refrigerant and evaporator coil Glycol cooled systems: The heat exchanger uses flowing glycol
  • Water cooled systems: A water loop is used to collect and transport heat away from the IT environment
  • Chilled water systems: Heat removed from the IT environment flows out with the chilled water exiting the CRAC and returns to the chiller

The Power Distribution System is at the heart of continuous power. If you design and configure such a system in the right manner, you will have won half the battle. When talking about Power Distribution System, we talk about all things from MDB till PDU, going through paths, SDB, LDB, and RDB.

The average cost of downtime goes beyond just money, "43 percent of US businesses never reopen after a disaster, and 29 percent (more) close within two years" (University of Wisconsin)

But, it's because more than half of businesses do not have a proper plan to alleviate the effects of a catastrophe when it occurs.

Ups and Batteries

With a perfectly designed and thought UPS, your computers will keep on running smoothly, and you will be able to both save your data center and preserve the quality of your hardware. It will also protect your supplies from voltage fluctuation, power surges, spikes and saps.

It is also important to note that when the main power line is overloaded, there is some chance your data could sustain damage, which can be prevented with a UPS.

Modular UPS is used in data centers:

  • The possible built-in redundancy representing a sort of insurance against possible failures
  • Scalability, again, a sort of insurance that the product can evolve over time with the possibility of adding a module when needed
  • The service continuity given by the ability to replace a module while always keeping the load protected
  • Simplified issue management thanks to easier diagnosis, isolation and resolution of potential problems
  • Shorter lead time for the delivery of the product
  • Quicker repair time thanks to the hot swap ability of entire modules

Vrla Batteries

Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid (VRLA)

5 to 10 years design life andBS6290, maintenance free, used in office environment. Safe to transport and mounted in any plane.

Fire Suppression

Another key aspect of planning a data center is how you will manage Fire Suppression at the core of your entity. Several solutions exist and we will help you choose the best one for you. If a fire occurs, the most important thing to keep safe, after the personnel, is the equipment. It should suffer a minimum of damage, and infrastruXureD is here to help you do that exactly by designing the perfect fire suppression. We offer after-sales services, so feel free to contact us should any problem occur. It is important to note that IT rooms have special requirements for two reasons: to protect fire personnel from fire sources and to reduce the spread of fire/smoke.

However, at infrastruXureD we guarantee, that should a fire occur, we will take full responsibility.

DCIM

Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) represents an emerging class of IT physical infrastructure solutions, one that has already generated enormous market acceptance.

We design and architecture them in such a way that we present you with the best solutions. With all the command-and-control options out there, we will help you see, understand, manage and optimize the myriad of complex interrelationships that drive the modern data center – for they are one of the most complicated entities on earth.

In order to strive, it is important to make sure the data center infrastructure has been taken care of. Our Data Center Infrastructure Management design and implementation will end all your worries.

Not all DCIM vendors are created equal. At infrastruXureD, we are here to help IT decision-makers evaluate the right products and services for their entities.

Rack Cabinets and Containment

Rack cabinets are the direct closets of the IT equipment. There are different types of racks, several sizes and kinds used in data centers. They are network racks, server racks, open racks, in addition to containment that play the role of a server room inside the data center.

Compact data center: Installing a server room for IT equipment is not always easy. If a decentralized network is taken into consideration, you could end up making compromises on the quality of the environment for servers and networking equipment. However, the most important IT enemies are heat, dust and moisture. It is very well known that a temperature increase can cut the life span of your IT equipment in half.

The Compact Data Center includes cooling, power distribution, fire suppression, raised floors and cable management in a single rack. It saves space, maintenance and it provides mobility for small businesses and mobile sites.

Outdoor rack cabinets or telecom cabinets are especially used for telecom operator sites.

Cabling

Cabling represents less than 10 percent of the data center equipment, but it will outlive any other part of the network and its components. When purchasing cabling infrastructure, you have to make the right decision and pick the best.

According to TIA-942 recommendations, there must be one MDB (Main Distribution Area), one or more HDB (Horizontal Distribution Areas), and one or more EDA (Equipment Distribution Areas) within a data center.

If you require customization of cabling components, infrastruXureD is willing to modify products and items to meet the needs of your entity.

At infrastruXureD, we will assess your needs and design the optimal setup for you, because there is an art to cabling, it calls for the right knowledge and know-how, the best tools and a structured approach. But before we start, here's a small peak of what cabling and components mean:

If you are implementing, upgrading or maintaining your cabling infrastructure in the data center, your guidelines should be completely understood by the staff. When installing the cables, don't over-bundle the cables, and separate between the different types of cables since copper cables can crush fiber ones. For backbone and horizontal runs, install additional cables as spares. And finally make sure all your cables are tested after their installation.

Every environment is different; this is why solutions change from project to project. For a successful deployment of your data center infrastructure, let infrastruXureD advise you of the best way forward.

Raised floor

Data centers should have the ability to handle large numbers of cables, and should efficiently handle high heat loads, which are adjustable and assorted, and should adapt to future technological and cooling discoveries. Raised floors enhance cooling capabilities and control as well as you provide with the ability to terminate cables wherever you need them with flexibility, accessibility, and boundless capacity.

infrastruXureD's system meets all these needs in an adaptable fashion that provides the ability to respond quickly and easily to clients and technological changes. With our raised flooring solutions, you'll be able to keep your data center running smoothly.

All our raised floor designs will be based on CFD (airflow simulator) results.
